About Us
Trail running is more than training to us — it’s connection. With nature, with our own bodies, and with people who love the mountains like we do.
Our Philosophy
At Vertical Stride, trail running is about more than just sport.
We bring together movement, nature, and community — with a focus on mindful, sustainable running in the mountains. Technique, strength, and endurance matter, but what truly counts is the experience: being out there together and discovering something new.
Our values:
- Authenticity
- Community
- Connection to nature
- Passion
- Sustainability

We’re not agency guides — we live here, right in the heart of the Tyrolean mountains. Every trail tells a story, and we share it with you.

Our Story — the path to Vertical Stride
What started as a small idea has grown into a movement. Just over a year ago, we began meeting regularly in the Wipptal for runs together — simply because we share a love for trail running. Three people, three paths: a Belgian elite athlete, a German trail enthusiast, and a local mountain sports athlete. Different backgrounds, united by the same passion for trail running.
From those first community runs, something bigger emerged: training sessions, workshops, and eventually full trail running weeks. From the beginning, our goal was clear — to inspire people to run on natural, unspoiled trails, teach technique and safety, and never lose sight of the fun.
That’s how Vertical Stride was born — from the desire to create authentic trail running experiences where it’s not the times or elevation gain that matter, but what happens in between: movement, connection, and a real experience in nature.
